Hi, Lori here. Your trust is really important to me, so I wanted write a quick note to explain my privacy policy using plain English. These official policies can sound pretty alarming! I think it's because they have to include specific, detailed language to cover all the laws and regulations. However, the way I collect, process, and store your information is not unusual..

It's pretty basic. Like most small business website owners, I use analytics to assess general trends. For instance, I look at how how people navigate the site or how long they stay on a certain page. This tells me what people are interested in when they visit the website, so I can use that information to make the site better.

I'm only here to connect with a community of ocarina enthusiasts, make and sell ocarinas, and perhaps point you in the direction of other handmade goods I make myself. I certainly don't want to annoy you! That means that I try really hard to make it obvious what I'm going to do with any information you enter into the website. For example, if you subscribe to the newsletter, I'll only use your name and email address to subscribe you to the newsletter. The same goes for information you give me during the process of making a transaction on the website: I'll use your information only to process the transaction or contact you about your order.

What type of information we collect

Spirit Song Ocarinas receives, collects and stores any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers
